Quite a few UK conferences related to e-learning have opened their calls for paper and presentation abstracts. We thought it was worth highlighting them for any staff engaging in research related to technology enhanced learning, including action research about teaching.

Association of Learning Technologists Conference (ALT-C) 2012: A confrontation with reality
University of Manchester, 11-13 September 2012
ALT-C is probably the largest UK conference that exclusively addresses technology enhanced learning. A variety of scholarly inputs are accepted, including full research papers to be published in the proceedings, short papers for presentation and posters.
Deadline: 27 February (submissions not open quite yet but guidance is there)

Blackboard Teaching & Learning Conference 2012
Antwerp, Belgium, 23-25 April 2012
This conference is centred around users of Blackboard products. Sessions are normally examples of innovative and good practice by teaching academics rather than full research papers.
Deadline: 31 January

5th International Plagiarism Conference
Newcastle, 16-18 July 2012
This conference is generally about plagiarism, but has often included themes around use of detection software (e.g. Turnitin), digital literacy and online submission/marking.

7th SOLSTICE & CLTR 2012 Conference
Edge Hill University, 13-14 June 2012
This two-day conference addresses technology enhanced learning exclusively on the first day and the wider theme of research into learning and teaching on the second day.
Deadline: 5 March, 5pm
