The automatic creation of 2011/12 Blackboard sites has now been completed. These 2011/12 sites contain a copy of the content from the corresponding 2010/11 site. This means the sites will need updating before they are ready to use with students next year. For instance you will want to update files such as module handbooks, ensure the Grade Centre is set up correctly for the next year’s assessment pattern, and redeploy any tests and assignments that you may be using. To help with this process, we’ve created a step-by-step guide to preparing your site for the next academic year.
If there is a Blackboard module site for the 2011/12 academic year that you need which was not created automatically, you will need to request it manually using the New site/copy existing site link in shuspace. For any new 2011/12 organisation site that was not created automatically, please wait until the end of July to request it.
Also, please remember there is a programme of professional development for learning and teaching ongoing this summer, including e-learning sessions where you can get help with your site and learn about different approaches for online teaching.
