As a reminder, we will be upgrading to a new version of Blackboard from 17:00 on Friday 8th July, which result in downtime during that evening.  Assessments should not be scheduled for Friday 8th July due to the upgrade. Assessments should also not be scheduled for Saturday 9th July and Sunday 10th July which are considered ‘at risk’ in case more time is needed to complete the upgrade. As always, the Blackboard admin team will strive to minimise the effect of this upgrade on the student experience through a minimum amount of downtime.

We’ll publish more details about improvements and new features to Blackboard on this blog during the next month.  However it should be noted that the changes are more incremental in nature rather than a complete overhaul of the interface like last summer.
