Based on e-learning diary research we did with students, we have generated a series of profiles which explore the relationship of technology to each student’s learning. This is the second in a series of three blog posts where we summarise the profiles and provide links to them.
The third student profile is Charles. He is 22 years old, and a frequent user of technology in his personal life. To support himself with e-learning, he relies on trial and error as well as online forums. Charles’ discipline involves frequent use of technology, though he regrets there is not more use of it in the learning experience itself. He sees a lot of possibilities for how technology can improve his student experience. Read more about Charles.
Deborah is 37 and has found the use of technology during her studies as a new, challenging experience. She utilises the Learning Centre help desks for support, as she prefers to access support face-to-face. Deborah feels her course has helped prepare her for future employment through developing her skills with technology. She values the integration of e-learning into her course’s curriculum, including access to materials through Blackboard. Read more about Deborah.
