Based on e-learning diary research we did with students, we have generated a series of profiles which explore the relationship of technology to each student’s learning. In this series of three blog posts, we’ll summarise the profiles and provide links to them.
The first student profile is Amanda, a 20 year old undergraduate. She is not confident about her skills with technology, but learns about it through experimentation and asking her peers. She values e-learning activities that allow her to access information quickly and conveniently, as well as activities which involve engaging with others. Read more about Amanda.
Ben is a 19 year old student who is a confident user of technology. He supports himself with the use of technology, or turns to internet sites and past colleagues for difficult issues. Ben’s course is delivered primarily face-to-face rather than online. He prefers this though he wishes more of the course resources from sessions were available online as well. Read more about Ben.
