The Staff Enrolment Tool is one of the few locally created tools in Blackboard, so we have taken the opportunity to improve it in Blackboard 9 based on feedback from staff over the past years.
Staff had commented that it was difficult to see which staff members were already enrolled upon a Blackboard site so module leaders could not tell if all appropriate staff were enrolled. Upon entry into the Staff Enrolment Tool, you will now see a list of all the current staff enrolled on that Blackboard site. You can use that list to unenrol staff members who should not be there, and change the role of existing staff if desired.
It is also now possible to unenrol yourself from a Blackboard site that you do not need to be on, another feature requested by staff. However there must always be at least one staff member on the Blackboard site to prevent a situation where no new staff can be enrolled on the site. We recommend that the module leader always remain enrolled on their module site when it has completed, and for organisation sites, the primary course administrator.
You can also click on Add User in the Staff Enrolment Tool to search for other staff that need to be enrolled on the site. Now you can search by first name, last name, email or username.
