Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What does conditionally enrolled mean?

A. Conditional enrolment is an interim stage before full enrolment. It applies where the University needs to check documents first such as Immigration documents, or where students are enrolling on courses with professional requirements and need to fulfil certain conditions. These might include DBS, Health, Suitability to Teach and qualifications checks. Until these checks have been completed by University staff, you will be conditionally enrolled. Conditional enrolment will not allow full access to University resources, to your student loan from the Student Loans Company or have a SHUcard, so it is important that you engage in good time with the actions required to complete these checks.
