As the University prepares for Clearing 2019, we’ve made some significant updates to our online prospectus. These include improved search design and layout, introduction of new subject area pages and performance enhancements.
The new course page can be found here. Links to the separate subject pages are located at the bottom of this page.
What other improvements have been made?
The new course search makes it easier and quicker for prospective students to get to course information. We have introduced easy-to-use navigation filters to help users quickly find and filter courses, whilst also improving the design of search results to present information in a clear and consistent way. Course search results have improved subject area tagging and summary information, including ‘course in clearing’ tags, ‘year of entry’, ‘course length’ and ‘course type’ tags and course summary information.
We have also created new subject area pages, which we have linked to from the central course page to aid discovery of courses. Each subject area page is optimised to improve our visibility in Google and will help users narrow down their options by grouping useful, relevant courses and content, allowing exploration of courses in a more intuitive way.
Can the online prospectus be viewed on a handheld device?
All sections of the new online prospectus work on computers and mobile phones and we have greatly improved search speed performance, meaning users can search and access course information in a fraction of the time they have been able to in the past.
