Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a skilled and energetic non-executive director to join the Trust’s Board of Directors.
Non-executive directors play a crucial role on any Board by bringing an independent perspective to the boardroom. They provide constructive challenge, help develop strategy and set the ‘tone at the top’ by championing the values and behaviours necessary for the Trust to succeed.
Sheffield Children’s is one of only three dedicated children’s hospital trusts in the UK and provides integrated healthcare for children and young people, including community and mental health care as well as acute and specialist services.
Ideally with clinical experience, candidates will have a significant track record of leadership, strategic focus and personal achievement in a complex environment. They will need the ability to influence the strategic direction of the organisation and have a passion for developing the quality of service provided by the Trust. They will need to act as an ambassador and advocate for the Trust.
The closing date for applications is 21 April 2019. Interviews will be on 14 May.
Sarah Jones, Chair of the Board, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Trust, lending your expertise and skill to help guide both the Board and the organisation into, what promises to be, a bright and exciting future.”
