Due to essential maintenance work, there will be refurbishment works being undertaken to Collegiate Hall from the 26th March to 25th May 2018. We expect this to be completed by the 25th May 2018.

In summary, the works include refurbishment of the toilets located within the ground, first and second floors, including new decorations, vanity units, sanitary items, cubicles, ceiling tiles and flooring. Additionally, the works will include the re-decoration of the first floor circulation space to include re-decoration to the walls, ceilings and carpet.

The works have been scheduled to be undertaken in phases:

  • Phase 1:  3rd April – 20th Toilets at the lab end of the building, Ground and 1st floors. Signage will highlight other areas that can be accessed.
  • Phase 2: 23rd April – 11th Toilets at the reception of the building on the Ground and 1st floors.
  • Phase 3: 14th  – 25th Toilets on the 2nd floor close to staff offices.
  • Phase 4: 29th March – 25th Decoration of walls, skirting boards and replacement of carpet on ground and 1st floors. This work will be done out of hours.

Staff and students will notice some of the toilets will not be in use during the above works, and will need to use the alternative toilets available. However our contractors are fully aware that they will be operating within a busy environment, and will be accommodating to staff and student needs should any particular issues arise. The Contractors undertaking the works are NRC (Toilets) and Dolphin (Re-decoration).
