Here is an update on some of the estates projects currently taking place across the University:
Sheffield Hallam University Sports Park
This project to create top quality pitches and an impressive pavilion to support our Sport Strategy is almost complete and handover is due at the end of September ready for the new BUCS season.
Heart of the Campus, Collegiate Crescent Campus
This project is due for completion Summer 2014 and is on time and on budget.
Owen level 12 kitchens
This impressive new facility has been vital to the successful recruitment of students in the areas of events, food and nutrition and hospitality. They will open ready for the teaching this month.
Employability Centre
This dedicated new HUB will open at the start of October, add to our employability offer and give students the support they need to embark on their chosen career path.
Owen Lifts
We continue to invest in Sustainable solutions in terms of infrastructure as well as new build and refurbishment. The lifts in Owen reopen ahead of teaching and offer quicker, greener journeys to reduce our carbon footprint.
Wayfinding and Expressions
The wayfinding project is making an impact across the University with the brand and signage being updated at a fast pace.
The expressions project is about creating a sense of place and this will manifest itself clearly in our Future Spaces as they are complete over the coming months. However, expression is already evident in some high use areas such as Norfolk lobby.
