MFD Printers being upgraded across campus – Important info inside if you use fax machines

MFD printers being upgraded across campus

Digital Technology Services is rolling out 166 new multi-function device (MFD) printers across campus as part of its ongoing maintenance programme. The upgraded printers will be similar in look and functionality to the old ones but will offer faster printing, more reliability and cost savings for the University. Local contacts are being given installation dates and details about delivery to circulate to users and the printers will be replaced with minimal disruption. For more information please see this blog post.

Do you still have/use a fax machine?  If so, please let us know

The University will be transferring its fax services to a new platform which integrates with MFDs and email.  Old fax machines will be switched off and new numbers assigned to them unless there is a business need for the old numbers to be retained.  To enable us to understand how faxes are being used across the University, please let us know whether you have a machine in your area by completing this form.

If you have any questions or have a fax machine which is unused or obsolete, please contact Ian Falkingham on x6143.
