IT round-up (new iPad loan service, more changes to TurningPoint)

New iPad loan service for staff

DTS has launched a new iPad booking service for all University staff. For more information, visit the DTS intranet site

More changes to TurningPoint – take action this month

On 31 December, the desktop software will be upgraded to a new version to enable it to continue working.  If you use it in your teaching, animated charts may need switching to a different format so they appear correctly and don’t crash your PowerPoint presentation.

The application will be different in look and feel but layout and functionality will be the same – apart from the change which means flash content (affecting some of the animated charts) will stop working.

For more information about the changes, running the new system and how to prepare for the upgrade, please see our blog article.

  • You can access the out of hours IT Help service 24/7, all year round – even on Christmas day.
