Off the Shelf Festival of Words

Off the Shelf has grown into one of the largest literary festivals in the UK, attracting some of the best-known names in literature and media to Sheffield each year. The festival programme is wide-ranging and offers over 200 events for all ages.

The festival runs from 7 – 28 October at venues across the city with a variety of events for all age groups.  Forthcoming events include:

The Children of Jocasta (Natalie Haynes) – Tue 24th October

Natalie Haynes stands up for the classics. She is a brilliant stand-up comic and a passionate believer that we should continue to read and enjoy classical literature.

My Life In and Out of Squeeze (Chris Difford)Weds 25th October

Pop legend Chris Difford discusses his book Some Fantastic Place, charting his rise to fame in Squeeze, one of the best-loved British bands of the 1970s and 1980s.
