Off the Shelf has grown into one of the largest literary festivals in the UK, attracting some of the best-known names in literature and media to Sheffield each year. The festival programme is wide-ranging and offers over 200 events for all ages.

The Children of Jocasta (Natalie Haynes) – Tue 24th October
Natalie Haynes stands up for the classics. She is a brilliant stand-up comic and a passionate believer that we should continue to read and enjoy classical literature.
My Life In and Out of Squeeze (Chris Difford) – Weds 25th October
Pop legend Chris Difford discusses his book Some Fantastic Place, charting his rise to fame in Squeeze, one of the best-loved British bands of the 1970s and 1980s.
