Job title: Student Transitions Manager
Salary: Grade 7 – £33,518 to £37,706, dependent on experience (fixed term until 31/01/19)
Sitting within Student Support Services, the Student Funding & Access Support team remove financial barriers to access, progression and success for all students. They do this by providing financial, pastoral and practical support to disadvantaged groups, as well as educating all students to develop real world skills in managing finances and valuing diversity. The support put in place recognises the needs of the individual student and encourages autonomy for the future. The team work closely with a range of internal and external partners to provide joined up and effective support throughout the student lifecycle.
You will need comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the needs of a diverse range of students and the issues that impact on their student experience, for example mature students, student carers, care leavers. Working collaboratively while negotiating and influencing stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of services you will be able to improve processes and have the ability to balance a range of priorities to meet key deadlines and milestones.
