Update on migrations of email to Office 365
Most University staff have now moved to the new version of Exchange in Office 365 and on 12 July, we will move any staff who for some reason didn’t migrate with a faculty or directorate. When all staff are on the new system, we will then migrate shared mailboxes. Please can you let us know if you own a shared mailbox that you no longer use by emailing ithelp@shu.ac.uk.
Data Centre move
Digital Technology Services are delighted to announce that our data centre move is now complete.This major piece of work, which is part of a DTS modernisation programme to improve efficiency and reduce running costs, involved moving all the equipment from one the University’s on-site data centres to another location. It was completed within 6 weeks and was carefully planned and managed to avoid significant impact on live IT services during core University hours.
