Following a competitive internal recruitment process, Libby Wilson has been appointed as the Project Director to lead the work on our new professional and support services operating model. Libby is currently one of our Assistant Registrars, and will bring significant experience in both Directorate and Faculty-based roles, as well as in systems and process change across the University.
Libby will begin to take on the role over the next week or so, with an initial focus on establishing the core team, and on the appointment of consultancy support for phase one of the project.
The new operating model is one of the key deliverables under the new strategy, and will underpin the successful delivery of many of our other strategic priorities. Put simply, this is about understanding what we and our students will need from our future professional services, and ensuring that we are set up in the best possible way to meet these needs. More information on the operating model is available on the strategy FAQ page.
Successful design and delivery of the operating model will be very much a collaborative exercise across the University, and colleagues in both academic and professional service roles will be engaged as the project is taken forward. Libby will be working alongside Richard Calvert (Chief Operating Officer) and other colleagues to keep staff in touch with progress over the coming weeks. If you have any questions in the meantime, please refer to the Q&A or contact the strategy email inbox.
