Mentoring scheme for students

Please tell your students about our university-wide peer mentoring scheme where returning students can apply to become mentors and new students can receive support to settle into university life.

Mentors will gain volunteering experience for their CV and develop valuable employability skills including cultural intelligence, while new students will have the opportunity to make friends and learn about other cultures and become confident communicators.

The scheme runs until April. All students can join including any nationality, course, level of study and faculty! New students will be matched with a returning student.

The deadline to apply for Culture Connect is 22 January.  Students can apply at http://www.shu.ac.uk/cultureconnect
