Methods of calculation of Integrated Masters honours classifications

Summary of change

One of the methods used to calculate Integrated Masters honours classifications is changing.  Method 1 is being retained- final average calculated from overall weighted average of 100 highest level 6 credits, weighted at 25% plus overall weighted average of 100 highest level 7 credits, weighted at 75%.

Method 2 is revised from the final average calculated from the overall weighted average of 100 highest level 7 credits to the following:-

Method 2 – final average calculated from overall weighted average of 100 highest level 5 credits, weighted at 20% plus overall weighted average of 100 highest level 6 credits, weighted at 30% plus overall weighted average of 100 highest level 7 credits, weighted at 50%.

What’s different? 

Academic staff and Professional Services staff need to be aware of this change when advising Integrated Masters students about regulatory issues.
