Legal representation at meetings

Change effective from:

2016/17

Summary of change

Following review of the University position regarding the attendance of a member of the legal profession at meetings held with students, a consistent and fair approach which meets external legislation requirements has been approved by Academic Board.  At appeal stages only of our student policies and regulations, students can request that they be accompanied by a member of the legal profession. They cannot, however, be wholly represented by a member of the legal profession.  Relevant policies and regulations have been updated accordingly.
