On Sunday 16 October, Rosa & Liam are taking on the Manchester Half Marathon to improve the quality of life of men with advanced prostate cancer.
Rosa is a PhD student working with Dr Liam Bourke at Sheffield Hallam University on research looking to improve treatments for men with advanced prostate cancer.
Rosa & Liam are running the Manchester Half Marathon to raise funds to support an early stage trial as part of Rosa’s PhD. This work aims to reduce the need for invasive and debilitating procedures and could also have a beneficial impact on responses to treatment. Most importantly, it could improve the quality of life of men going through treatment and potentially redefine best practice for cancer care.
