The route has been chosen for its stunning scenery and the varied nature of the route. It’s also chosen to be a ‘challenge’ so it’s certainly undulating, mostly uphill in various gradients for the first half and mainly downhill for the second, with a good last push uphill. The race is part of the Dig Deep festival of running to be held at Whirlow Hall Farm Trust in Sheffield.
As well as the Whirlow 10K trail challenge race there will be:
- Ultra Tour of the Peak District: 60 miles – 20 August
- Peak Trail ‘intro’ ultra: 30 miles – 20 August
- 12.12 race: 20 miles – 21 August
