Summary of change
All the University’s existing quality procedures (validation, annual and periodic review, modifications, external examiners, collaborative provision, etc.) have been updated in line with the principles of the Quality Framework. The updated procedures were reviewed by the Academic Quality, Standards and Enhancement Committee between September 2015 and January 2016. All quality procedures are now as described in the Quality Manual, available in an online format via the quality framework SharePoint site on the staff intranet.
What’s different?
- The Quality Manual sets out details of all of the University’s quality processes in a number of individual sections, available to all staff in an online format
- Designated Departmental ‘landing pages’ can be accessed from the home page of the quality framework SharePoint site. Each Department has it’s own quality document repository where staff can find the most recent quality reports and related information, such as External Examiner Reports and Module and Course Annual Review Reports
- Associated forms, templates and additional guides are also available from the quality framework SharePoint site
- The Quality Manual and quality framework SharePoint site will be further developed and expanded throughout the year
