Cost of Parkinson’s research

There is a lack of research in estimating total economic cost of Parkinson’s in the UK.  The Centre for Health and Social Care Research are running a study, funded by Parkinson’s UK, to assess in detail the expenses of the condition for the individuals, carers, health and social care providers, and to society.

You can take part in this study by completing a survey at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Parkinsons2015.  Please read the Participant Information Sheet to see if you are able to help with this research.  Your input is invaluable in helping pull together information about individual experiences of Parkinson’s and assessing the costs of the condition for individuals, carers, health and social care providers, and to society.

All information which is collected from and about you during the course of the research will be kept strictly confidential. The information you give will not be used in any way that could identify you.  The results of this study will be a report with case studies to Parkinson’s UK and published in academic journals. Nobody will be able to identify you in any reports or publications.

If you have any queries about the questionnaire please contact Rachel Ibbotson via email r.ibbotson@shu.ac.uk or telephone 0114 225 5793

You can access the survey until 30 November and edit or update your answers until this point.
