Implementing and Managing Reasonable Adjustments

This course is aimed at staff who are involved in the anticipation and management of reasonable adjustments at an operational level, or on an individual level for staff and students.  The core aims of this course are:

  • To improve disability confidence
  • Ensure the University provides an inclusive environment to its diverse staff and student body
  • Ensure that delegates can develop and review services that are inclusive of all staff and students
  • Ensure that the University is a place where all staff and students are supported

Key Topics

  • To develop an understanding of the social or structural model of disability
  • To use delegates’ expertise to share how the duty to anticipate reasonable adjustments can be used in your service area
  • To develop delegates’ understanding of their responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 to anticipate reasonable adjustments
