Win tickets to In concert: Out Aloud with O’Hooley & Tidow (now closed)

This benefit concert is to support The Friends of Edward Carpenter who are raising money for a permanent memorial in Sheffield to this pioneer of socialism and sexual politics.

Sunday 17 May, 7.30pm at Firth Hall, Western Bank, University of Sheffield

The concert takes place on the same day as IDAHO which takes place every year on May 17 and aims to coordinate international events that raise awareness of LGBT rights violations and raise interest in LGBT rights work worldwide.

O’Hooley & Tidow are regarded as lionhearted trailblazers of contemporary music and song writing. With a personal invite from Billy Bragg to play Glastonbury, sessions on BBC 6 Music and Radio 2, a five star live review and feature in The Guardian, culminating in a MOJO Folk Album of the Year award for ground breaking album The Hum.

Out Aloud is Sheffield’s Gay Choir. It was formed in 2006 and enables LGBT people in Sheffield to enjoy singing as a community.

SIGNAL is Sheffield Hallam University’s Staff LGBT Network and is offering two tickets to the concert.
