The Careers and Employment Service Sheffield Business School Delivery Team are delighted to announce that one of their projects was a finalist at the prestigious Prospects Postgraduate Awards 2014.
The project that caught the judges’ eyes was the Career Bite Size initiative – a series of five themed workshops offered specifically for Postgraduate students within SBS. These sessions were carefully tailored to meet the specific needs of this cohort, which includes a significant proportion of international students. Each interactive session was a free-standing bite-sized introductory workshop on a topic designed to help support students in proactively achieving their career goals for the future (e.g. building your employability or CV writing).
Career Bite Size was well supported, hugely enjoyable to deliver and received consistently enthusiastic feedback from students.
The Prospects Postgraduate Award winners were announced on Monday 10 November.
The Awards are run by Prospects, the UK’s leading postgraduate education publisher, which also operates prospects.ac.uk and the official postgraduate course database. The Prospects Postgraduate Awards are sponsored by University Business. The judging panel included representatives from the NUS, Association of Graduate Recruiters and the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
