JPMooney are starting work on the vacant MMBell building (formerly Gatecrasher nightclub), as part of these works they will be demolishing the old building and constructing a new building in its place. Work is due to be completed for Summer 2016.
For safety reasons footways around the site on Arundel Street and Eyre Lane will be closed along with one lane of Arundel Street to receive deliveries and allow for the removal of the demolished building materials.
Traffic from Matilda Street will have to travel up onto Eyre Street, around the roundabout and down Furnival Street to get onto Arundel Street. Traffic approaching from Furnival Street will be unaffected. The Matilda Street end of Arundel Street will be signposted as closed.
Access to the car park under 20 Furnival Street will be maintained
