Of the 147 new or upgraded pieces of software requested by faculties and directorates for this year’s start of teaching, all but four are completed or out for testing by academic colleagues.
We have already started deploying software into teaching rooms and expect everything to be installed and ready for use by 21 September. There are still quite a few pieces of software which have not yet been tested by the nominated academics.
To ensure a smooth start to teaching, it’s important that this testing takes place as soon as possible – preferably before deployment but, if necessary, it can continue after the software has been installed. This will allow IS&T to resolve any issues in plenty of time.
