From Monday 1 September, everyone will need to have their new SHUcard ready to swipe into the building at both Adsetts and Collegiate, as the gates won’t open automatically when we go live with the access card project. Staff will be available on the reception desk in case students have any problems, but to make sure the first day goes as smoothly as possible please could you:
- Collect from the SHUcard office if you haven’t already (it only takes a minute to replace)
- Allow 24 hours for your card details to be updated on Millennium and the SHUcard records
- Test it against the access gates to make sure it works before 1st September
- Have it ready when you come to the building
Staff in the LIS Portfolio Team will be checking the stats to check for any issues in the system and to see how we can find trends in who uses the libraries and when.
