Sheffield Food Festival 24-26 May

Delivered by Sheffield Business School in partnership with Sheffield City Council, the Sheffield Food Festival is one of the highlights of the city’s calendar.

This year the Food Festival takes place over the May bank holiday weekend, running from Saturday 24 – Monday 26 May. And it’s moved to a new location on The Moor, which has been recently renovated and is now home to the fantastic Moor Market.

The Festival has something for everyone, including pop-up restaurants, a craft beer festival and lots of stalls to stock up on locally produced food and drink. And there will be cooking demonstrations from top chefs in the festival kitchen, as well as lots more fun activities.

And there’s a brand new event for this year’s food festival – a cookery book swap! Bring along your unwanted cookery books and swap them for ones you want. And you’re welcome to swap cookery DVDs, too. You can bring along as many books to the swap as you like. Each of your donated books will be exchanged for a token, which you can then swap for a new cookery book.

If you don’t fancy lugging around lots of books with you at the Festival itself, you can donate your old cookery books and collect your tokens in advance; just drop your books off at the Stoddart Welcome Point, letting Niki Baker (n.baker@shu.ac.uk) know so that she can have your tokens ready.

The cookery book swap is free and will be held in the old Woolworths building on The Moor, 12pm – 4pm on Monday 26 May.
