Peter Lake will discuss an ACES faculty funded project he is part of which is looking into how best to seed such communities. This talk will briefly present some CoP literature and outline the specific project, but Peter would then like to widen this out to discuss how colleagues from around the university have participated in anything like a CoP. This session should enable attendees to gauge what is happening in the university in terms of Communities of Practice and, should there be interest, could be the start of an informal special inquiry group.
