Working in partnership to improve engagement with learning

With Deena Ingham, Teaching Enhancement Developer, University of Bedfordshire

Tuesday 4 February, 12 – 1.30pm
Owen 1033, City Campus

Harnessing student engagement to improving our curricula, teaching practice and assessment is one resource for enhancement of practice and the student learning experience. In partnership with their Students’ Union, the University of Bedfordshire is developing a structure to enable this approach. Their multi-pronged approach seeks to develop staff awareness of the student resource, but also developing students and student reps around their ‘BIG campaign’, This encourages students to take responsibility for course improvement and enhancement. How could this work for your courses, and with your students? The development strategies, resources, successes, challenges and barriers they have discovered in the process are explored in this workshop.
