National Student Survey starting soon

The 2014 National Student Survey for final year students will go live at Sheffield Hallam on Monday 3 February.

During the initial launch period a number of ‘mobile filling station’ events will take place daily across both City and Collegiate campuses. A schedule of these can be found on the NSS site link below.

Staff are asked to encourage as many of their students as possible to attend these events, where they can fill out the survey there and then and help reach our completion target, as well as raise £10,000 for this year’s Students’ Union RAG charities.

This year’s charities are the Children’s Hospital Charity, Macmillan Cancer Support, Oxfam and Mind in Rotherham and Barnsley. For each survey completed, the University will donate £2, with the total raised to be shared equally among the four charities.

It is hoped as part of these initial events that we will be welcoming representatives of some of the charities to chat to students about how their contribution will help. There will also be a number of freebies on offer to all those attending and completing the survey.

All the information, guidance and materials that staff will need for supporting and encouraging their students to complete the NSS is available at https://staff.shu.ac.uk/surveyingourstudents.asp
