Represent your colleagues on the University’s consultation group

Staff are reminded that nominations to join the University’s Information and Consultation Committee are now open.

This is your chance to represent your staff group on all aspects of University business. You will have the opportunity to learn about various issues, meet colleagues from across the University and be able to comment on and influence University decisions.

The ICC provides an opportunity for managers, trade union representatives and elected staff representatives to discuss university wide issues such as financial performance, the business strategy, employment matters and the working environment.

Each member will represent staff in one of four areas of the University – administrative; technical; support (manual); and teaching and research. You have until Tuesday 17 December to nominate yourself.  To do this you will need to get the backing of five supporters and complete a nomination form.  Elections are scheduled to take place early in the new year.

The term of office will start in the Spring of 2014 and is for two years.

For further information and nomination forms, contact Beth Asquith on ext 3959 or visit the Working Together intranet site at https://staff.shu.ac.uk/workingtogether
