Due to a change in building access systems, there will be a phased replacement of all staff SHU cards from 21 October.
This new card also has new chip technology that will open up other possibilities of use. It will also feature ‘papercut’ technology for printing and photocopying.
Please do not throw away your old SHU staff card as you will need it for access if the old system has not been updated. The new access system will be installed from 4 November and a list showing the order of installation can be viewed: Access System Replacement. Exact dates cannot be provided as there are several different controllers with a differing amount of doors connected to them.
Access gates will be in place in the Learning Centres this semester and staff and students will need their SHUcard for access.
Please make sure you attend one of the venues below to get a new SHUcard. You will also be able to get a new photo.
