Students are set to benefit from a new scheme to ensure that privately-rented accommodation being offered through SHU meets Sheffield City Council’s standards.
The University’s accommodation services team has worked closely with the council’s private housing standards team and Hallam Union to develop the new ‘Snug’ scheme. Snug includes a new property database and easy to use search tool to find properties that have been approved, as well as the standards they need to meet.
The search tool helps our students find private accommodation with landlords who are approved by the council. All the properties on the database are registered with Snug.
