Control of Contractors – Light Touch

This course is the lighter touch version of the Control of Contractors policy and is suitable for Managers or persons who are responsible for the introduction of contractors onto University sites and explains the reasonable steps they should take to ensure the arrangements properly manage the risks to students, staff and visitors presented by the contractors.

Course Objectives: To understand the role and responsibilities of the person managing the contract and the extent to which they need to go to. To go through the step by step guide to controlling contractors: 1) Contractor Selection 2) Pre-site Preparation 3) On-site activity 4) Post contract review

Note: This course is not suitable for FD Estates or IT installations, they should attend the 3hr detailed course.
