14 August
During August new meters are being installed to allow us to automatically monitor electricity, gas, water and heat in each building in real time which will help towards reducing our usage and overall carbon footprint.
To install the new meters shutdowns of services will be required and following consultation with key stakeholders in regards to the dates and times the schedule has been agreed as follows. The shutdowns on the 26th and the 27th will be done during normal hours rather than overnight as the University is closed.
Please note that the Harmer electricity shutdown on the 27th has been scheduled to coincide with the power shutdown required for the current MERI refurbishment project on Harmer Level 0. This will mean that Harmer will lose power and data, and Norfolk will lose data only on this date.
This information will also be available on the estates webpages and Future Spaces blog.
