Last week saw the opening of clearing for the final push to recruit the students we need into the University and into this faculty. I just wanted to take this opportunity to recognise and thank everyone involved in the recruitment of our students, not just in clearing but across the whole academic year. The commitment shown to engaging with potential students, staying in contact and subsequently enrolling them is a great example of teamwork. The changes in figures from January 2019, where student numbers were looking challenging to the present forecast for enrolment demonstrates the hard work undertaken across the departments, with some making exceptional progress.
Whilst there is still some ongoing work to make up the final numbers to the faculty target, and there can be no risk of complacency going forward – thank you to everyone involved in this year’s recruitment and congratulations on a job well done.
We look forward to welcoming our new students into the University.
Best wishes
