Innovative Technologies to Assist the Health and Care Workforce sandpit event (12th Sept)

Sheffield Health and Care Partnership sandpit on innovative technologies to assist the health and care workforce open for registration.

The Health & Care Partnership is a collaboration between the University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University and the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust that has been established to build a stronger collective position on health research and maximise innovation with the regional health and care system.

Across the health and social care system, there is a recognition that the workforce are under increasing pressure. The NHS Long Term Plan identified the importance of ensuring staff are making the most of their skills and expertise: “We need to work at national and local levels to put in place changes that remove wasted time and irritating tasks, so that staff are able to focus on patient care.”

The partnership is funding a round of pilot projects focused on innovative technologies to assist the health and care workforce.  A sandpit event will be held on 12th September at Inox Dine from 4-7pm to facilitate new collaborations around this theme. You are warmly invited to attend the event. The Health & Care Partnerships is keen for groups to form who can then apply for pump priming funds (deadline 10 October 2019).

You can register for the event by clicking here.

Further information about the event and funds are available from Liz Philpots, health & care partnerships manager (e.m.philpots@sheffield.ac.uk / e.philpots@shu.ac.uk)
