Invitation to the Transforming Lives sessions

This is your invitation to the Transforming Lives sessions in October. These sessions are an opportunity to hear updates directly from project leads on the strategy implementation happening every day at Hallam. There will also be the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

The following sessions may be booked by clicking the link for the one you wish to attend:

  • Thursday 18 October, Collegiate Campus, F518 Robert Winston Building (Broomhall Road), 12noon-1pm book here
  • Friday 19 October, City Campus, Peak Lecture Theatre (Owen Building), 1-2pm* book here

*(Please be aware that the City session will be recorded. We may also livestream it).

Speakers:

  • Professor Roger Eccleston: Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Global Engagement and Krassimira Teneva: Head of International Experience, LSSS and Lead for Overseas Collaborative Partners: Roger and Krassie will present an overview of the achievements of the Global Engagement Plan over the past year.
  • Greg Burke: Director of South Yorkshire Futures (SYF): Greg will outline the work and achievements of SYF to date. SYF is a social mobility partnership committed to improving education and raising aspiration for young people in South Yorkshire – particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds; it’s led by Sheffield Hallam University and backed by the Department for Education.

We plan to share video footage and slides following the sessions; these will be available on the Strategy page as soon as possible after the sessions.

Wednesday 28 November (1.00-2.00pm), Heart of the Campus Lecture Theatre (Collegiate)
