University Mental Health Day – March 1st 2018

University Mental Health Day is the national campaign to focus efforts on promoting the mental health of people who live, work and study in Higher Education settings.

Run jointly by Student Minds and UMHAN, we are encouraging all university students and staff to get involved.

University Mental Health Day 2018 will take place on the 1st of March.

It doesn’t matter what your role or level of involvement is, we can all contribute towards promoting a positive mental health community here at Sheffield Hallam University.

With a theme this year of community, what we really want to do improve everyone’s awareness of support, and promote a sense of belonging. We also think the role the environment and community play is important in protecting student mental health.

Raising awareness of the specific challenges students face with regards to support for their mental health is an objective. We think that key services could work and collaborate better to enhance student mental health.
