Core Portal drop-in sessions

HR are offering drop-in sessions in October as a refresher in all existing Core modules on Core Portal, to include:

  • absence management
  • expenses
  • recruitment
  • manager requests
  • timesheets.

These workshops coincide with the recent launch of the new Core on-line module to replace the SHU21 absence forms.

From 1 August 2017 the current SHU21 absence process ceased, and has been replaced with new functions in the Core Portal. You can find user guides and FAQ’s on the University intranet pages.

If you are a Line Manager you will have received detailed information through the HR Brief about how to access the new functions in Manager Portal for recording sickness absences and a copy of this can be found here.

Colleagues from HR and Finance will be at the workshops to answer your questions about Core Portal functions as well as providing a demonstration of the absence process.

If you would like to attend please could you register your interest by booking a place via your employee portal, as the running of these sessions will be subject to minimum numbers. The name of the course is ‘Absence Recording Drop In Session’, and the user guide for booking courses is available here.
