Support every step of the way

We hope you’re now settled into the first semester at your institution now, but support doesn’t stop now that you have gone through induction and orientation.

Sheffield Hallam University offers study and academic support throughout the year, no matter which part of the world your partner institution is in that you study at.

Our online guides offer advice and guidance on a range of topics throughout the year, helping to support you with study skills, referencing and navigating Sheffield Hallam IT systems.

We will highlight useful resources through the academic year to coincide with periods such as exams and assignment hand-ins.

Final year induction for Botswana Accountancy College students

On 15 September, Botswana Accountancy College held an induction for students returning to study in their final year.

The induction included an hour and a half of challenges related to business-critical tasks, and methods on how to overcome these real-life problems.

There was also a question and answer session in which students could ask our panel queries related to business. The panel included the MC for the event Wilbert R. Mutoku, for BAC Ademola Oluwaranti, for SHU via Skype Giovanna Battison and for ICT Letso Dire.

This session was designed to equip final year students with industry relevant information on employability in business – we wish all of our final year students a fruitful and successful year!

Our partners in Suzhou Vocational Health College, China visits Sheffield Hallam

The Faculty of Health and Wellbeing were very pleased to welcome six staff and 21 students from Suzhou Vocational Health College, China for a two week visit in October.

We are very proud of the partnership with Suzhou Vocational Health College and the links that have been built between our two institutions over the last couple of years.  The delegation took part in lectures and undertook visits to external partners in the NHS, as well as visiting local attractions and sampling a traditional British afternoon tea.

We are also looking forward to welcoming the first cohort of Rehabilitation and Nursing graduates to Sheffield Hallam University in September 2018 when they have completed their placements.
