We are currently carrying out an Electrical Fixed Wiring Inspection and Testing programme across the University Estate and the following buildings / areas are now due:
- Owen Building, Level 5
- Owen Building, Level 1 (The Void)
- Church House
These tests are a requirement under the Electricity at Work Act which the University has to comply with.
The work involves a thorough inspection of the fixed wire installation and the carrying out of various tests as prescribed by the IEE Wiring Regulations and will involve interruptions to the power supply which we hope to keep to the absolute minimum.
No interruptions will be carried out without prior arrangement and the contractor will be asked to carry out some tests out of normal working hours if required. Access will be required to all areas.
We plan to start this work Tuesday 28th November 2017 and the expected programme of works is estimated to be 3 weeks
