Contractors, sub-contractors and consultants working with the University on the new STEM development at City Campus joined forces for a different purpose this Christmas – to raise an impressive £381 for a local charity.
Contractor Houltons, consultant Mason Clark and other sub-contractors all made donations to the Cash for Kids appeal, run by the charity Mission Christmas. The total was topped up by a collection on site, generously supported by members of the construction team.
Cash for Kids is a grant giving charity that supports individual children, groups and children’s charities where children are sick, deprived and in need of extra support. Contributions go towards buying Christmas presents for children and young people who may not otherwise receive a gift, and every penny raised stays in South Yorkshire.
Construction on the £11m refurbishment of our Sheaf and Eric Mensforth buildings is due to be completed in spring 2017, and will provide the very best in learning and teaching spaces, alongside a striking new atrium which will create an impressive entranceway to the University’s City Campus.
