New South Yorkshire Futures website launched

Take a look at the announcement below from the South Yorkshire Futures team about their new website. The site will provide information about the great work being carried out and the reasons for the project being started.

The new website for the Sheffield Hallam-led social mobility partnership South Yorkshire Futures is now live.

South Yorkshire Futures is our Department for Education-backed programme to improve school attainment and raise aspirations across the region.

Last year, working alongside the four local authorities and partners from across the education community, we launched South Yorkshire Futures at an event in Charles Street. We believe it is the largest and most ambitious engagement of a university with the school system anywhere in the country.

The programme focuses on three strands: early years, where early success matters so much; performance and leadership in primary and secondary education; and routes in to higher education and work.

The project will celebrate its first year in September and ahead of this date, the South Yorkshire Futures team has been working hard to develop a new fit-for-purpose website.

The new site will present information for people wanting to find out more about South Yorkshire Futures and what we’re trying to achieve for the young people in our region. This will include why South Yorkshire Futures was started, details on the individual strands, a live area for news and events, and a section dedicated to the delivery team.

The Department for Education has passed on its support to help celebrate the launch of the new site and success of the project to date.
