Below is a round up from the Midwifery lecturing team on the latest end of year conference, organised by 3rd year student midwives. Congratulations to all involved on the successful event and fantastic amount raised for charity!
Our wonderful 3rd year student midwives planned and executed THE BEST end of year conference so far yesterday!
They raised £1188 during the day to split between 3 charities (Sands, Light Sheffield and The Snowdrop project) filled 2 cars for the Salvation Army food bank and yet again managed to fill 2 cars for Baby Basics!!!!
A big shout out to Aldi who provided lots of tins for the food bank.
The speakers were all booked and organised by the conference committee and were inspirational and empowering!!
We had 4 Alumni attend to speak to the cohort, this is a first for us and shows the breadth of influence, contact and inspiration the course continues to have with its ex-students.
